You can gather event registrations through Gradual but link out to another call platform or URL (like a Zoom call) to host your live stream or meeting event.

Members continue to engage in your community to find and register for events and interact with one another, and you benefit from the automated features Gradual provides for event registrations like an event landing page & agenda, automatic reminder emails, and calendar invites through Google.

Note: Build the meeting, or schedule the call on the other platform first as you will need to have the URL handy during event setup.

Set up

Build a Livestream or Meeting event

  • Complete all necessary information in General Info, Agenda, Registration form, etc.

    • You do not need to confirm any Stage(s) if in a live stream as you will be hosting on another platform for streaming

  • In General Setup --> Advanced Settings --> Event Platform --> Use 3rd Party Event Platform --> Enter the URL for the third party platform event [e.g. Zoom call link] in the box

Encourage members to register for the event through Gradual. They will be able to access the event landing page, agenda, etc., and will receive all enabled automated email reminders and calendar invitations (if integrated).

Day of the event

Day of the event, users will be directed to the external platform when clicking the 'Join' button from the event detail page, or by following the direct link to the event in emails and calendar invites.

Important to remember:

  • Sending users to an external platform for the event itself will have them leave Gradual.

  • Messaging, 1:1 matching, etc. may not be used by the attendees during the event, and the chat (if enabled) will not transfer into Gradual.

๐Ÿ’ก Pro Tip: Remember to record the event to upload it as a replay in Content.

After the event

Because the event was hosted on another platform, 'Logged-in' or 'attended' registrant data will not be provided in the dashboard reports. That information may be available on the third-party platform, though.
