After your event ends, it’s helpful to gather feedback from attendees about their experience and ideas for improvement.
Gradual’s post-event survey email can include either an external survey link or a Gradual form. The email is sent only to attendees who actually attended the event.
Enabling the Post-Event Survey Email
When enabling the post-event survey email, you can choose one of two survey sources:
External URL
Gradual Form
To enable the email:
Go to the event dashboard and open the Emails tab
Turn on Post-Event Survey
Choose External URL or Gradual Form
If you choose External URL, paste your survey link
If you choose Gradual Form, select the form you want to use
Only forms with Available for Event Survey turned on will appear in the Gradual Form list.
Save your changes
Once enabled, the email will send at the end of the event to attendees who logged in or checked in. The system uses the end date and time from General Info in the event dashboard.
If you use a Gradual form, only event attendees can open and submit the survey. Each attendee can submit the survey once per event.
Example of Email
This would be branded to your community, and the event title would appear in the email.
If you use a Gradual form, you can also export responses for that event directly from the post-event survey section of the event.
Using a Gradual Form for Post-Event Surveys
When you use a Gradual form as the survey source, responses are automatically connected to the event. This makes it easier to review and export post-event feedback by event.
In form exports, Gradual includes Event Name and Event Time for responses connected to an event.
Dynamic Event Data in Survey URL
We've recently added an optional feature to better track and map event data to survey results in your survey platform. Gradual can now add event metadata to the survey URL so survey results can be tracked back to the correct event and attendees.
If you are using an external survey URL and would like to enable this feature, reach out to the Gradual team.
Example of the URL parameter
The system can append a URL parameter on the survey URL to include the event slug, allowing your team to map results to the correct event in your survey platform.
Survey URL entered in event dashboard:
https://survey.gradual.com/form/XYZGradual adds URL parameter to identify specific event:
