Course Instructors

Assign instructors to your community courses so members are listed as the instructors and points of contact for the lessons and course work

Updated today

Instructors can be assigned to your community courses to acknowledge their work and help learners explore the educators in your community.

Instructors must be members of the community before they can be added or assigned to a course.

Add Instructor(s)

Dashboard admins can add up to 5 instructors to a course from the course's dashboard.

  1. From the admin dashboard, navigate to the Courses tab, and to the courses page.

  2. Create a course or select a course from the list

  3. Navigate to the Instructors tab

  4. In the upper right-hand side of that page, select the '+ Add Instructor'

  5. This pop-up will list all members of the community, search for and select the member you'd like to add as an instructor

  6. Select 'Add' to save your work

Remove or Reorder Course Instructors

To remove an instructor from a course:

  1. From the admin dashboard, navigate to the Courses tab, and to the Instructors tab

  2. Select the edit icon in line with their name from the Instructor list

  3. Select 'Remove from course'

  4. Select 'Remove' to confirm the action, and they will then no longer appear associated with that course.

To reorder the list of instructors assigned to the course:

  1. From the admin dashboard, navigate to the Courses tab, and to the Instructors tab

  2. Drag and drop the hamburger icon to the left of the Instructors' avatars to move them to the requested order

This changes the order on the course poster display and the course landing page.

Course Instructors in the Community

Instructors assigned to the course(s) will appear on the main course landing page and in the specific course's landing page. Users can learn more about the instructors by selecting their avatar or name, and their profile will pop up.
