Copying Events

How to copy an event.

Updated this week

Gradual's Copy Event feature makes it easy to save time and keep consistency across your events. Instead of rebuilding everything from scratch, you can duplicate an existing event and simply adjust the details you need.

When to copy an event?

  • When you run recurring events (weekly webinars, monthly meetups, annual conferences) and want to carry over the same structure.

  • When you want to reuse the same agenda, speakers, or settings without having to manually rebuild them.

  • When you’d like to maintain branding and design consistency by keeping the same images, tags, and layout.

  • When you need to spin up a new event quickly, but still have control over the title, dates, and timezone.

Copying an Event

  1. Select the event you'd like to copy. From the left hand side menu, select Overview.

  2. In the Actions drop down menu in top right, select copy event.

When copying an event, most aspects of the original event are carried over, but you’ll still have control over key details like the title, timezone, address (if in person), and start date. The end date is automatically configured based on the agenda once you set the start date, but all dates and event settings can be fully customized after the copy is created.
