Course Learning Paths

How to setup and manage course learning paths. Learning paths allow you to organize multiple courses into a structured experience for learners.

Updated this week

Learning paths allow you to organize multiple courses into a structured experience for learners. They are useful when courses are meant to be taken together, build on one another, or must be completed in a specific order. Learning paths also support certificates, which can be automatically awarded once courses in the path are completed.

Accessing Learning Paths

To access learning paths, open the Courses dropdown in the left-hand navigation menu and select Learning Paths. If you're not seeing the Courses dropdown, please reach out to our support team at [email protected].

This page serves as the central location for creating, organizing, and managing all learning paths in your account.

Learning Paths List View

The Learning Paths tab displays a list of every learning path you have created. From this view, you can search for specific learning paths by name or apply filters to narrow down results.

In the top-right corner of the page, you’ll find options to manage categories, which help organize both learning paths and courses across your platform. Categories are especially useful when you have a large course library or multiple learning programs.

You’ll also see the Create Learning Path button in the top-right corner, which allows you to start building a new learning path at any time.

Creating a Learning Path

When creating a learning path, you’ll be prompted to enter a name and select a category. The name should clearly describe the goal or theme of the learning path, while the category helps keep it organized alongside related content.

After saving the name and category, you’ll be taken directly into the learning path editor, starting with the Path Setup tab.

Path Setup

The Path Setup tab is where you configure the core details and behavior of the learning path. Here, you can upload a cover image that visually represents the path, add a subtitle, and write a description to explain what learners will gain by completing it.

This tab is also where you control the learning path’s visibility and access settings. You can choose whether the path is public or restricted to specific spaces. Once everything is ready, you can publish the learning path directly from this tab.

Adding Courses to a Learning Path

Within the Path Setup tab, you’ll select which courses belong to the learning path. Courses are added from your existing course library, allowing you to quickly assemble a path without duplicating content.

You can also decide whether courses must be taken in a specific order. When this option is enabled, learners will be required to complete each course sequentially before moving on to the next one. If the toggle is turned off, learners can complete courses in any order.

Learning Path Tabs Overview

Each learning path includes additional tabs on the left-hand side that allow you to monitor progress, manage rewards, and participants.

Overview

The Path Overview tab provides a high-level summary of how the learning path is performing. From here, you can view metrics such as course views, learner progress, enrollment numbers, and overall completion rates. This data helps you understand engagement and identify where learners may be dropping off.

Certificate

The Certificate tab allows you to configure a certificate that is awarded when a learner completes the entire learning path. Certificates are only issued once all required courses in the path are completed. You can customize the certificate design and text to align with your program or organization.

Contribution

In the Contribution tab, you can assign contributions that are granted when a learner completes the learning path. Contributions can be used to recognize effort, participation, or achievement and are automatically awarded upon completion.

Instructors

The Instructors tab allows you to showcase who is leading or contributing to the learning path. You can select up to five instructors from your member list. These instructors will appear on the learning path page, helping learners understand who created or is responsible for the content.

Enrollees

The Enrollees tab is where you manage learner enrollment for the learning path. From this screen, you can manually add members, cancel existing enrollments, and view everyone currently enrolled.

Search and filter options make it easy to find specific members, especially in larger learning paths with many participants.
