Ketch integration for cookie management

Use your Ketch platform on Gradual to handle cookie and consent management

Gradual supports integrating your organization's Ketch platform to handle cookie and consent management on Gradual.

This resource will discuss how to implement the Ketch integration. For questions about how to set up Ketch and configuration within the Ketch product, please consult the Ketch support center.

What this integration does

Gradual's Ketch integration allows you to launch your own cookie consent pop-up within your Gradual community.

The integration will:

  1. Launch your consent pop-up when a user visits your community

  2. Displays a consent management link in the page footer

  3. Disables Gradual's native cookie consent pop-up

Setting up the Ketch integration

Begin setup by navigating to your Gradual dashboard at dashboard.gradual.com.

Once logged in, navigate to Settings > Integrations.

In the integrations list, select Ketch and then select Set Up.

Enter the following:

  • Organization Code

  • Property Code

After you save, Gradual verifies the Ketch configuration. If the configuration is valid, Ketch is available as your active cookie consent provider. If the configuration cannot be verified, Gradual shows an error and the Ketch integration is not enabled.

Once Ketch has been added, you can turn it on or off from the integrations list. Turning Ketch on replaces the current cookie banner with the Ketch consent banner. Turning Ketch off switches cookie consent back to Gradual Native.

When you switch cookie consent providers, visitors are treated as first-time visitors by the newly active provider.

Customizing the consent management page footer

  1. Navigate to the "Customization" --> "Footer" tab in the Gradual Dashboard

  2. If the Ketch integration was set up successfully you should see a "Your Privacy Choices" footer item.

  3. You can adjust the order of the footer items by dragging them

  4. If you click "edit" on the "Your Privacy Choices" option, you can enable the blue privacy choices icon

*As long as the Ketch integration is enabled, you cannot remove or disable the "Your Privacy Choices" footer item.
