Orientation Script - Webinar Events
We've used a version of the script below to orient event attendees to the community, the presentation, and the functions of Gradual during a webinar event.
Use portions of this script at kick-off when you're welcoming attendees on the call.
Make it your own and let us know if we've forgotten anything!
Hello everyone I’m <<>> and I want to welcome you to our event << >>. Thank you for taking the time to be with us today.
Before we get started, I want to make you aware that this event is being recorded, and will be published for on-demand viewing in our content library soon.
A few notes about navigating the platform & Q&A etiquette. During this webinar, our speakers and panelists will be on screen and you can interact with us via chat and Q&A. We have reserved the last 30 minutes of this event for interactive Q&A with our speakers. At that time, if you have any questions for our panelists, please raise your virtual hand with the hand icon at the bottom center of your screen. We will bring you up live to ask your questions, so please have your camera and microphone ready for configuration.
If you are more comfortable submitting your questions in the chat or Q&A tab, you are free to do that as well. Please upvote any questions you'd like answered in the Q&A tab as we will answer the most popular questions first.
I do want to note our networking feature because it’s proving to be very impactful for our community. On the far right-hand side of your screen you have access to all the profiles of our audience members present today. If you hover over an attendee’s name, the details of our profiles are revealed so you can get to know the other members of our community better through each event. You can network with fellow members by selecting the Message icon in their profile to start a direct conversation with them, or by selecting the LinkedIn Icon in the profile to connect and stay in touch. I have heard some awesome new collaborations being formed here in our community that started exactly as I just described!
Without further ado, let’s begin…
