Access an event early for testing
Access an event early for testing
Updated over a week ago

Event administrators are able to access the live instance of an event before the event starts by using the Live Environment Preview link in the event's dashboard.

Note: This is a change from previous actions of editing the URL parameter to include ?skipCountDown=true

How to find this link & share it with others:

Sign into the event dashboard, and navigate to the Overview page. At the top right of the page, you will find two links, the Event link (the link to the public event page) and a new Live Environment Preview. To access the event environment early, you'll use the Live Environment Preview link.

Select the play icon if you'd like to access the event from your account & login. You must be registered for the event to access the event.

Select the copy icon if you'd like to share access to the event with another registered attendee (like a speaker, or colleague) to test the event. These users must be registered for the event to access the event and this link should only be shared with trusted individuals as it is access to the true, live event.

Note: Each Live Environment Preview link is tokenized and allows access to registered attendees for 48 hours.

If the link expires, simply copy it again and send it to those who need to jump in early to test!

This link is a unique token, meaning it will only work for that event.

If you drop any test or demo chats in the chat thread, you can delete the messages one-by-one, or by using 'Clear Chat' in the event dashboard, in Channels.
