Sharing links to your community and events is important to grow your community and create buzz for your events. Below are the different links to send to your members, and where to find them in your dashboard.
Community Link
The easiest way to find your community website is at the top of each page of your dashboard. This will hyperlink to your community's homepage in a new tab.
You can also find this link in the Settings tab of your dashboard
Sign into your dashboard.
Select Settings from the main menu on the left.
Select Community.
The Community URL is in the upper right corner.
đĄ Pro Tips: If youâd like to send them directly to your content page, events page, or tools page, you can modify the URL by adding the main menu title at the end of the URL:
Content: Append the community URL with the parameter /home/content
Events: Append the community URL with the parameter /home/events
Tools: Append the community URL with the parameter /home/tools
For example: https://community.gradual.com/home/events
If you'd like to send them directly to the login pop up, event registration, etc. you can modify the URL by adding the path to the end of the URL:
Login pop up (prompts them to fill in their email address): Append the community URL with /login
Profile (prompts them to complete their profile): Append the community URL with /home/profile?editing=true
Event registration pop-up (prompts them to fill in their email address to register): Append the event URL with the parameter ?autoRsvp=true
If you'd like to pre-populate their email address in the field: Append the event URL with the parameter ?autoRsvp=true&email=##{{user's email address}}
Event Link
The event URL is created by default in the event setup but can be changed or customized by admins in the dashboard or event admins who are collaborators.
Default Event URL
The platform will create a default event URL using the event title and a default unique identifier - this can be found in the General Info tab of the event dashboard.
We recommend using the default URL as it wonât be affected by changes to your event title, and will dynamically change if the title changes. All default URLs associated with the event (from past titles) will remain valid, too.
Custom Event URL
Dashboard admins, or Event Admins (collaborators) can make changes to the event URL in the General Info. If you use a custom URL, the previous default URLs will still remain valid but other custom URLs will not.
Note: Special characters cannot be used in default or custom event URLs, but using '& will change to 'and' in the URL slug.
Link to the event landing page
The Event Link sends them to the event landing page. Theyâll be able to see event details like date and time and access the agenda & speakers. Theyâll also be able to register for the event by selecting the âRegisterâ button.
Learn more about this page here.
Note: If theyâre already registered for the event, the Register button changes to âJoinâ and will go live when the doors open.
Sign into your dashboard.
Select Events from the main menu on the left.
Select the event.
The Event Link is in the upper right corner.
Note: You can hide the Agenda and/or Attendees on this frontend event page by toggling their visibility on and off at the top of the Agenda page or Attendees page, in your event dashboard.
Anchor link to the event agenda
If you'd like to send folks directly to the agenda on the event landing page, you can modify the URL to create an anchor link to that section of the page.
Navigate to the event landing page (front end)
To modify the URL and drive folks to the exact display and day of the agenda:
Add
#agenda
to the end of the URL.Copy that URL and test it in a new browser tab to make sure it sends you to the correct day, and display of the Agenda.
Link to the event directly
If youâd like to send registrants directly to the event and bypass the landing page, you simply modify the URL.
Note: If the event is in the future, the Countdown will appear until the doors open.
Sign into your dashboard.
Select Events from the main menu on the left.
Select the event.
The Event Link is in the upper right corner.
Modify the Event Link URL by removing /home from the URL directory.
Example:
Event Detail Page URL: <https://community.gradual.com/home/events/gradual-product-update>
Event Direct URL: <https://community.gradual.com/events/gradual-product-update>
đĄ Pro Tip: This direct link is whatâs included in the Google Calendar invite if you have that integration enabled. We highly recommend setting up that integration so an automatic reminder is established for event attendance, and the registrants can easily access the direct link the day-of from their calendar.
Early Access to Event for Testing (Admin)
If youâd like to access your event environment early for testing, you can use the custom Live Environment Preview link for the event.
Learn more about this link, and how to find it in the event dashboard here.
Note: Donât share this with anyone you donât want accessing the event environment early!
