Embedding videos and external content in Blogs, Resources & Event Descriptions

You can embed videos, google slides, PDFs, gifs, etc. into blogs, resources, event descriptions, and Forum posts. The links to these content pieces are added while creating or editing these pieces of content or event builds in your dashboard.

Videos

Sign into your dashboard and navigate to the description or content block and follow the steps below to embed videos.

YouTube & Vimeo

To embed a video hosted on YouTube or Vimeo within a blog/resource and event description, you will select the embed video icon, and a pop-up will appear, prompting you to enter the embed Video URL. Simply copy the URL that appears in your browser window and paste it into the dialogue box that pops up. Select Save and the video will be embedded in the content block.

Wistia

To embed a video hosted on Wistia within a blog, we'll need to use a slightly different URL than the standard hosting URL you would use to post just the video itself.

This URL can be found in iframe embed code within Wistia in the Embed & Share menu and Inline Embed.

The URL will be next to

src="https://fast.wistia.net/embed/iframe/doma3zc7bg?videoFoam=true"

You'll then paste this URL into the inline video embed box inside your blog post:

Iframes & External content

Sign into your dashboard and navigate to the description or content block and follow the steps below to embed external content like google slides, pdfs, etc. into the description and content block.

To embed external content within a blog/resource and event description, you will select the embed content URL icon, and a pop-up will appear, prompting you to enter the embed URL of that content piece.

The embed URL should be the share link or URL and must be a public (not private) share link. Paste that link into the dialogue box that pops up and select 'Embed' to embed it into the content block.

Note: Ensure that the embed URL is shared as 'visible to anyone' or public.

GIFs

GIFs are supported across the platform in content blocks, forum posts, and event descriptions. Simply upload the gif by selecting the add image icon in content or forum posts and comments.
