Adding PDFs to your blogs and resources in Gradual is available with the new blog editor. You can upload a PDF file, or insert the PDF via a URL and it will appear on the front end for users to see, browse and open in a new tab to download or save.
Supported PDFs
Gradual supports uploading and inserting PDFs up to 20MB in size, and PDFs that are single pages or multi-page.
In the initial phase of this feature, the PDFs will not be downloadable by users, but users can open the PDF in a browser tab to save or download the PDF.
Add the PDF
PDFs can be added in the Content section of a Blog or a Resource. You will add and edit the PDF from the content piece dashboard overview page.
Upload a PDF
Upload a PDF file by selecting the PDF icon, selecting Upload a PDF and selecting the file from your computer.
Insert via URL
Insert a PDF URL by selecting the PDF icon, selecting Insert via URL, and entering the URL in the pop up.
Note: Make sure the URL is shared as 'visible to anyone' or public, and not private.
Inserting via URL allows for the user on the front end to open the PDF in a new browser tab:
Caption the PDF
You can provide a description of the PDF that will appear below the PDF, centered and in normal text size.
Click the PDF and select 'Caption' to include the description or note caption. There is no limit to the length of this caption.
Remove the PDF
Click the PDF and select the trash can icon to remove it or delete using your keyboard to remove it
