The Help Widget allows community members to access your Intercom help resources and support directly from your Gradual community.
Set Up the Help Widget
In your Gradual community, navigate to the Intercom integration.
Click Setup.
Enter your Intercom App ID.
Choose where the Help Widget should appear:
Left corner
Right corner
Optionally, add additional margin to fine-tune the widget’s position.
Choose when the widget should appear:
Always visible
Only when the Help menu item is clicked
Save your settings to enable the widget.
Intercom Help Center/Article Syncing
Article Syncing allows you to automatically bring articles published in Intercom into Gradual as external content.
Enable Article Syncing
If Article Syncing is locked in the Intercom integration settings, contact Gradual Support at [email protected] to have the feature enabled for your community.
Once enabled:
Open the Intercom integration in Gradual.
Click Setup.
Authenticate your Intercom account.
If you aren't already logged in to Intercom, you'll be prompted to log in.
Once your Intercom account is connected, configure your article sync settings.
Configure Synced Articles
When setting up Article Syncing, you can configure:
Cover image — Choose the cover image that will be used for articles synced into Gradual.
Visibility — Choose whether synced articles are:
Public
Restricted to a specific space
Article status — Control which article status is synced into Gradual.
Collections — Choose to sync your entire Intercom library or limit syncing to specific Intercom collections.
These settings give you control over which Intercom content appears in Gradual and how that content is presented to your community.
