Configure Intercom Integration

Connect Intercom to sync your articles and install your Intercom support widget.

Add Intercom in the Help menu item on Gradual community pages, so when a user selects 'Help' in your community, it will fire the Intercom messenger to communicate with your team.

Dashboard admins can set it up, within the main dashboard, in the Integrations tab.

  1. Navigate to the Intercom integration block and toggle the integration 'on'

  2. Select the three dot icon to add the 'Intercom App ID' in the pop up

  3. Select 'Save' to complete the configuration

Syncing Intercom Articles

You have the ability to sync over articles as external content from Intercom. If you are not seeing this in your dashboard reach out to [email protected]. Once enabled, click 'setup' and enter your intercom credentials.


Once your intercom account is connected, you will need to upload a cover image to use for all articles coming in, select the status of articles coming in (published or not), and the collections to sync from intercom. Articles get synced over as external content in gradual.
