Signing In to and Switching Between Gradual Dashboards

Gradual makes it easy for admins to find and sign in to their community dashboards. Admins who manage multiple communities can also link their dashboards together, making it easy to switch between them without signing in each time.

Find your community dashboard

If you don’t have the direct link to your community’s dashboard, you can find it from the Gradual dashboard sign-in page.

  1. Go to dashboard.gradual.com.

  2. Enter your community’s domain or community name from its URL.

  3. Continue to your community’s sign-in page.

  4. Sign in using one of the available methods.

If Gradual can’t find a matching community, check what you entered and try again. If you’re still unable to find your dashboard, contact your community administrator.

If you’re already signed in, visiting dashboard.gradual.com will take you to your available dashboards instead.

Access the dashboard from your community

If you have dashboard access, you can also open the dashboard directly from your community.

  1. Sign in to your Gradual community.

  2. Select your avatar to open your account menu.

  3. Select Dashboard.

The dashboard opens in a new window.

If you’re already signed in to the dashboard in the same browser session, you’ll be taken directly to the dashboard. Otherwise, you’ll be asked to sign in before continuing.

Dashboard appears in your account menu when you have an active dashboard role in that community, including community admin, collaborator, club management, sponsor, and event management roles.

Sign in to your dashboard

Each community has its own dashboard sign-in page and available sign-in methods.

On the sign-in page, you’ll see your community’s name and logo, along with the sign-in options available for that community.

Depending on how your community is configured, you can sign in using email or your organization’s Single Sign-On (SSO).

Sign in with email

  1. Enter your email address on the dashboard sign-in page.

  2. Submit your email to receive a magic link.

  3. Open the email from Gradual and select the magic link.

  4. You’ll be signed in and taken to your dashboard.

Magic links expire after 15 minutes and can only be used once. If your link has expired or has already been used, select the option to request another link.

Sign in with SSO

If your community uses SSO:

  1. Select the SSO option on the sign-in page.

  2. Confirm that you want to continue to your community’s SSO provider.

  3. Complete your organization’s sign-in process.

  4. You’ll return to Gradual and enter your dashboard.

If the SSO sign-in isn’t successful, return to the login page and try again. Contact your community administrator if you continue to have trouble signing in.

Choose a dashboard

Your Gradual account can have access to different dashboard types, such as community, collaborator, club, sponsor, or event dashboards.

If your account has access to more than one dashboard, use Switch Dashboard to see the dashboards available to you. They are organized by dashboard type to make them easier to find.

Select a dashboard card to open it.

When the dashboard belongs to a community you’ve already authenticated with, you can enter it directly. If another community requires SSO authentication, you’ll be taken to that community’s sign-in page before continuing.

Link another community dashboard

If you manage dashboards for multiple Gradual communities, you can link them together. Once linked, they appear together under Switch Dashboard, making it easier to move between communities.

You can start this process by selecting the + option from a dashboard or + Add a new dashboard from the dashboard selection page.

To link another dashboard:

  1. Select + or + Add a new dashboard.

  2. Enter the domain or community name from the URL for the community you want to add.

  3. Sign in using that community’s available sign-in method.

  4. After successfully signing in, the new dashboard will be added to your linked dashboards.

The email address used to sign in to the new dashboard must match the email address used for your existing linked dashboards. If the dashboard uses a different email address, it can’t be added to the same group.

Linking dashboards does not change your permissions in either community. It simply gives you a convenient way to access your dashboards together.

If the dashboard is already linked elsewhere

A dashboard can only belong to one linked dashboard group at a time.

If the dashboard you’re adding is already linked to another group, Gradual will ask whether you want to transfer it.

Select Transfer Dashboard to move that dashboard to your current group. Only the dashboard you’re adding is transferred; the other dashboards in its previous group remain unchanged.

Select Don’t Transfer to leave the existing links unchanged and continue to the dashboard without adding it to your current group.

If your link request expires

A request to add a dashboard remains active for 30 minutes. Starting a new request also replaces any previous request that hasn’t been completed.

If the request expires before you finish signing in, you can either:

  • Sign in and add again to restart the linking process.

  • Go to [Community Name] dashboard to access the dashboard without adding it to your linked dashboards.

Unlink a dashboard

You can remove a dashboard from Switch Dashboard without removing your access to the community.

  1. Open Switch Dashboard.

  2. Find the dashboard you want to remove.

  3. Hover over the dashboard card and select Unlink dashboard.

  4. Confirm that you want to unlink it.

The dashboard will no longer appear with your linked dashboards.

Unlinking only removes the dashboard from your linked list. Your existing permissions remain unchanged, and you can still sign in to that community directly. You can also link the dashboard again later.

The unlink option is available when you have more than one linked dashboard.

If you don’t have access to a dashboard

If you sign in successfully but don’t have dashboard access for that community, you’ll see an Access Denied message. Contact your community administrator to request access.

If you’re a community admin and open a link to another dashboard that you don’t have permission to access, you’ll see a message explaining that you don’t have access to that dashboard. Select Open in Community Dashboard to open the corresponding page in your community’s main dashboard.

For example:

  • If the original link points to a content list or event list, you’ll be taken to the corresponding list in the community dashboard.

  • If the original link points to a page for a specific item, such as the SEO Settings page for a club, you’ll be taken to that same page for the club in the community dashboard.

Signing in when you’re already using another community

Being signed in to one Gradual community doesn’t prevent you from signing in to another.

If you open the dashboard login page for another community that you have access to, you’ll be prompted to Sign in to continue. Complete that community’s sign-in process to access its dashboard.

This allows you to securely access dashboards across multiple communities while keeping each community’s authentication requirements in place.

Log out of a dashboard

When you log out of a community’s dashboard, you’ll return to that community’s dashboard sign-in page.

You can sign in again using any of the sign-in methods available for that community.
