Creating Discount and Promo Codes for Event Tickets

You can create promo codes to apply discounts to paid tickets when event registrants are checking out. 

Adding Promo Codes

  1. Log into your dashboard.
  2. Select Events from the main menu on the left, and select the event where you will be offering discounted ticket codes.
  3. Select Ticket Setup and Promo Codes.
  4. Select the +New Promo Code button in upper right.
  5. Enter the Promo Code text (or leave blank and the system will automatically generate an 8 character code).

Note: Codes are case-sensitive and should not include special characters or spaces. Codes can be between 3 and 20 characters long.

  1. Enter the Discount - that is the percentage OFF the ticket price. You can enter any percent from 1% to 100%.
  2. Enter a Quota for how many times this discount code can be used.
  3. Internal Notes allows you to document who the code was created for, etc.
  4. In Status, you can toggle the code on or off to make it active and usable by users.
  5. Click Submit to save your work.

Managing Promo Codes

All promo codes will be listed in Ticket Setup → Promo Codes for you to reference to send to your members. You can edit and delete codes from this page as well.

Event Attendees

As a user, registrants will enter codes in the promo code field of the ticket pop up when registering for an event. They will select the ticket type, select “Have a promo code?” And a field will pop up for them to enter the code, and select apply to activate the discount. Their ticket total will then reflect the discount.
