Courses: Video Lessons

Offer video lesson modules to your members from the courses feature

Updated today

As community admins, you can now offer video lessons in your courses. Participants can watch videos as part of the coursework and track their progress in the study room.

Dashboard and Admin Work

Admins can create video lessons as part of the course, adding multiple videos to the course and organizing them by chapter. All of the participants' efforts and progress are tracked and available in the course's dashboard.

Add or edit a video lesson to your course

  • Follow the steps outlined here to create a course in your course catalog in the dashboard that includes video lesson(s).

  • Follow the steps here to add a video lesson to the course.

Video Specs

The videos included in video lesson courses are hosted in Gradual, as the system tracks if an enrollee watches the entire video before granting them the ability to complete the lesson.

The video uploaded must be a video file (.mp4, .avi, .mov) and cannot be a video URL. The video must be under 1GB in size.

Participant Work & Completion

Members can easily access courses and video lessons from the courses tab in the main community. Participants can watch all videos, chapter by chapter, from their computer browser or mobile device. Their views are logged, and participation is tracked when they have watched an entire video from start to finish.
