Member profile fields control what appears on a member's profile. You manage them from Members → Profile Fields.
Your community has three separate forms — the sign-up form, the onboarding form, and the profile fields — and each is configured on its own. A question can be asked at sign-up without appearing on the profile, or shown on the profile without being asked in either form. The same preset question can also be required in one form and turned off in another.
What appears on the page
The page lists the profile fields in order, starting with the preset questions and followed by your custom questions. Questions whose answers are private to the member are labelled (Private) — the member and admins can see those answers, but other members cannot.
Secret Info
Secret Info is listed in its own section at the bottom of the page. Secret information is never shown on member profiles in the community; it is used only in the dashboard, for member management.
Select Edit on that section to choose which secret properties are shown and in what order.
Editing the profile fields
Select Edit at the top of the page to open Customize Profile Form.
Each preset question has a Required or Optional setting and an Enabled checkbox. Preset questions that every member must answer cannot be turned off, and their controls are greyed out.
To add a question, select + Add Question, choose one or more member properties, then select Add Questions. The list shows whether each property is already used in the Sign-up, Onboarding, and Profile forms. You can also create a new property there with + Add a new property as the question.
Select Save to apply your changes.
Settings that live on the property
Two settings belong to the member property itself, under Members → Member Properties, rather than to this form:
Visibility — whether answers are Public, Private, or Secret. Setting a property to Secret is what moves it into Secret Info.
Editable By Member — whether members can change their own answer.
