Publish Post-Event replays
After an event takes place you can publish the event recording video and add it to the event as a Replay. This not only adds to the value of your content library but provides a great feature for anyone who has missed the event or wants to rewatch. This also ensures anyone returning to the event page can easily find the replay for that event.
To set up a replay you must first add a new video to Gradual and then link it to the event. Learn how to add a video to Gradual here.
Recordings from meeting and webinar events can be downloaded in the dashboard in the 'Recordings' tab, or live stream recordings can be accessed from your streaming service or production company.
- Go to the Gradual Dashboard. From there you can select Videos from the drop down menu and then select Add New Video. See the full instructions for adding a new video here.
- Copy the video link for the replay and head to the event you want to link.
- From the Event in the dashboard click on General Info from the menu. You will see a field titled ‘Watch on Demand’ and can enter the video URL there, copied from the Video page.
💡 Pro Tip: You can add any link or content as a video replay. You can even add a link to a blog post, but the link will always say "replay"
As long as the event is over and there is a URL in the Watch on Demand field, the ‘Replay’ button will appear on the event page. To disable the replay button, just remove the URL from the watch on demand field.
Adding multiple videos for one event:
If you have multiple videos for your event you can post all of the videos and assign them a Tag. Then from the video list page in your Gradual community, filter the list to just videos with that tag. Copy the URL (e.g. https://community.gradual.com/home/videos?tags=60b8e9b01f0f347ef8c049b6) and place it in the Watch on Demand field. When users click 'Replay’ from the event page, they’ll not be presented with all the videos with the tag you assigned.
