Adding Content Permissions
Updated this week

Gradual supports adding permissions so others can help edit and manage content pieces like videos, blogs and resources. These users are given access to the collaborator dashboard and only content where they have been added.

Note: Content Permissions can be granted to community and club level content

Permission Levels

There are three permission levels with differing access levels.

Content Admin

This user has full access to edit, publish, unpublish or delete the content piece. They can enable the comment and reaction elements on content they've created, even if the system settings are turned 'off' and see and moderate all comments and reactions.

Content Manager

This user has full access to edit, publish or unpublish the content piece, but cannot delete it. They cannot enable the comment and reaction elements on content they've created, even if the system settings are turned 'on'. They can see comments and take action to moderate (delete/approve) comments on their content.

Content Editor

This user has full access to edit the content piece but cannot publish, unpublish or delete it. They cannot enable the comment and reaction elements on content they've created, even if the system settings are turned 'on. They can see comments but cannot take action to moderate (delete/approve) comments on their content.

Adding Content Permissions

Dashboard administrators must add permissions in the main dashboard.

  1. Navigate to the piece of content where you want to grant a member permissions

    1. This can be at the community level, or within a Club

  2. Select the Permissions tab in the upper left menu

  3. Select the +Add Permissions button

  4. Search and select the member you'd like to grant permissions to

  5. Select Next to save your work

  6. Select the level Admin-Manager-Editor

  7. Save your work

This member now has access to the limited dashboard to edit and manage this content piece.

Note: You can grant up to 6 community members access to the collaborator dashboard in Content Permissions.
