Admin Access Roles & Permissions in Gradual
Updated over a month ago

There are several levels of access and permissions you can grant your users and members to allow them to access the dashboard or specific content and event settings.

Dashboard Admins

These are the select few users who should have full access to the community dashboard.

  • This grants full access to the dashboard to see and edit members, settings, Forum, etc.

  • These users are added to the dashboard's 'Permissions' tab.

Learn more about dashboard admins here.

Collaborators

These are community members who should have access to a limited dashboard just for content and/or event creation, editing, and hosting.

  • This grants access to limited event and/or content dashboards at various levels but not full dashboard settings.

  • Collaborators can be assigned to create and edit events, and/or content pieces, and given access to event attendee profile information (email) or not.

  • There are three levels of access you can grant depending on the level of access you want to offer to these users.

  • These users are added to the dashboard's 'Collaborators' tab.

Event Permissions

These are event attendees who should have access to a limited dashboard for a single event for editing, hosting, etc.

  • If you'd like to grant limited dashboard access (create, edit, publish) to a specific event, you can add users one-off to the event dashboard, in 'Permissions.

  • There are three levels of access you can grant depending on the level of access you want to offer to these users.

Other Event Roles

You can also grant event attendees elevated event permissions like chat moderators, hosts in meetings and roundtables, and panelists in meetings. However those users do not have access to the dashboard for the event if granted those permissions only.
