There are several ways members can engage with forum posts. They can leave comments, tag other members, react, and quote post contents in comments!
Comment on a post
Members can engage with posts by commenting on them or by replying to comments made by other members within the comment threads. Comments can include member tags/mentions, links, emojis, and images, too! Any full URLs included in a post will automatically register as live links and open in a new tab for the user.
If they want to show support for a comment or comment reply, they can select the clap icon as well.
Comments can be edited and deleted by the commenter or by deleted by Forum Moderators on the front end, or in the dashboard.
The original poster will receive a notification in-platform and via email when new comments are made on their post, or when a member replies to their comment.
Comments can be sorted on the front end by users by Popular (received the most reactions, comments and replies) or by Latest (most recent):
Quote a post or comment
Commenters can quote part of the published forum content, entire comments, or select specific parts of a comment to include in their replies. This makes it easy to reference and respond directly to particular points, adding clarity and context to the conversation. To quote only part of a comment or part of the content, users can simply highlight the desired text and right-click to start commenting with that selected text. Quotes are size-limited by default, but can be expanded to view the full original content.
Quotes can be removed from the comment only when drafting the reply. Commenters do need to be logged in to use the quote tool.
Mention others in a post or comment
Posters and commenters can mention other members in posts and replies, tagging the members to encourage them to check out the discussion and provide input.

React to a post or comment
Another way to engage in posts is by showing approval or disapproval using the voting arrows, claps, likes, or additional reactions. These help the platform’s algorithm sort the ‘Hot’ or most popular votes and offer your members more variety as they're reading posts and comments.
The additional reactions appear to users when clicking the like button and will be displayed on the post, comment and in the notification to the poster or commenter.
'Hot' posts have received the most comments, claps, likes and upvotes and the list will change in real-time as users react to posts.

See who's reacted to the post or comment
Members who are logged in can now hover over the reactions to see who reacted to the post or comment, and with what. The reaction lists are sorted by most recent reaction and when a user clicks on the members' avatars, they can access the profiles to learn more about that member.
This is available on computer browsers or mobile devices
Report a post
If a post or comment violates the community rules, members can report it to moderators. The reporter must include reasoning and action can be taken on the front end or in the dashboard by Forum Moderators and admins after they've reviewed the reason for reporting.

Find a post
The community-wide, federated search includes Forum titles and body text, but does not include comments’ text in its results.
Members can also find posts on similar topics if they are tagged with topics, and posts with similar titles, content and tags will be suggested to them at the base of each post.
