Forum Activity Digest Emails give eligible admins a daily summary of forum activity from the past 24 hours. This helps teams review new conversations, track engagement, and identify reported content that may need attention.
Access forum digest settings
To manage forum digest emails, open your dashboard and select the settings icon in the top navigation bar. This opens your personal settings, where you can update your digest preferences.
For community forums, digest settings are available to community admins.
For club forums, digest settings are available to club admins, managers, and editors. If a club forum is not enabled, the digest setting remains off and cannot be turned on.
Choose what to include in your digest
In your personal settings, you can turn forum digest emails on and choose which activity types to include.
You can select any combination of the following:
New posts
New comments or replies
New reported content
At least one activity type must be selected before the settings can be saved.
For community forums, you can also choose which boards to include in the digest. By default, the digest includes all boards.
For club forums, the board scope is fixed and cannot be changed.
Digest delivery time
Forum digest emails are sent daily at 5:00 PM based on the dashboard time zone. For club forums, the send time is fixed and does not need to be configured.
What the digest email includes
Each digest email summarizes activity from the last 24 hours and organizes it into separate sections for:
New posts
New comments
Reported content
Each section includes the total number of items from the past 24 hours and previews up to 2 recent items. The email also includes buttons that link directly to the relevant page in the dashboard, making it easy to review activity in more detail.
An unsubscribe link is included at the bottom of the email and takes the user back to their personal settings.
New posts
The New posts section includes the following details for each post preview:
post type icon
post title preview
post body preview
author avatar and name
post time
board name
This gives admins a quick view of newly created conversations across the forum.
New comments
The New comments section includes the following details for each comment preview:
target post title
comment preview
author avatar and name
comment time
board name
This helps admins stay current on active discussions without opening every post individually.
Reported content
The Reported content section includes the following details for each item:
reporter name
report time
preview of the reported post or comment
This section makes it easier to spot moderation activity and review items that may need follow-up.
Email subject lines
For community forums, the digest email subject line is:
Your community forum digest: {{12 new activities}} today
For club forums, the digest email subject line is:
Your {{Club Name}} club forum digest: {{12 new activities}} today
Club digest emails also include buttons that link to the relevant management pages in the club dashboard.
Update or turn off digest emails
You can return to your personal settings at any time to:
turn digest emails on or off
update activity types
change board selection for community forums
Changes apply to future digest emails.
Important notes
If a user loses the required dashboard permissions, forum digest emails are automatically turned off.
If a board is archived or deleted, it is removed from all digest settings automatically.
If a community admin had only one board selected and that board is archived or deleted, forum digest emails are turned off until a new board is selected.
Example use cases
Keep up with daily forum activity
A community admin wants one daily summary instead of checking multiple boards throughout the day. They enable New posts and New comments to receive a daily overview of forum activity.
Monitor moderation activity
An admin wants visibility into content that may need review. They enable New reported content so the digest highlights reported posts and comments from the past 24 hours.
Focus on specific boards
A community admin is responsible for a smaller set of boards. They update their settings to include only those boards so the digest stays relevant to their work.
