How members download their personal data
Members can request a copy of the personal data associated with their account directly from their privacy settings.
To request a data download, the member:
Logs in to the community.
Navigates to Settings.
Selects Privacy.
Selects Download My Data.
Gradual then begins preparing the member’s data for download.

Receiving the data download
The member does not need to remain on the page while their data is being prepared.
Once the data is ready, the member receives an email with a secure download link. The link allows them to download a ZIP file containing their personal data.
The download link expires after a set period. If the link has expired, the member can return to Settings → Privacy and submit a new request.

What’s included in the download
The ZIP file contains structured files organized by different areas of the member’s community account. Depending on the type of information, data is provided in CSV or JSON format.
The download includes:
Profile: Name, email, username, avatar, headline, bio, company, job title, location, social links, phone number, language, timezone, custom profile fields, member since date, and last login
Memberships: Community and club memberships, roles, membership status, membership ID, and membership expiration
Events: Event registrations
Courses: Course enrollments
Rewards and achievements: Badges, points, and certificates, when applicable
Preferences: Notification, privacy, language, and email preferences
Data not included in the download
The personal data download does not currently include direct messages, forum content, reactions, bookmarks, attachments, uploaded files, survey responses, or quiz answers.
Internal administrative and platform information, such as moderation notes and internal system information, is also not included.
Access and permissions
Members can only request and download their own personal data. Community admins cannot use this feature to download personal data on behalf of another member.
This feature does not change the existing member export tools available to community admins.
