Part of growing your community will be publishing current content and making it accessible for members after your events. Gradual automatically lists content on the homepage and content page by 'Most Recent' (versus 'Most Popular') to encourage users to stay up-to-date on the most current content. This default sort also enables you as the admin to sort and shuffle the content you want to be promoted first, by manually adjusting the publish date.
You can now schedule content to publish, so the platform will automatically publish content for you on your schedule.
Note: These actions can be taken by Collaborators with Manager or Admin privileges, and by those with Club Permissions at those levels.
Manually set, backdate and edit the publish date
From your community dashboard, navigate to Content on the left-hand side menu. Select the content piece (video in example below) that you’d like to edit the date on, and hit the 'Edit' icon on the right-hand side.
In the field ‘Published Time' manually change it to reflect the preferred date. Select 'Submit' in the upper right-hand side.
Unpublish the video and re-publish it to see the updated time and sorting.
💡 Pro Tip: You can also use this to promote certain content as the default sorting is 'Most recent'. Setting the published date to today (or most recent) will sort that content first.
Please note that users can re-sort by most popular by selecting 'Popular' (versus 'Latest') or select the type of content from the drop-down on the right-hand side of the content list.
Video Guide
Here is a video on how to manually set content publish dates:
Schedule publish date
If you'd like to craft your content piece but have it published on a future date, you can now schedule the publishing timestamp from the content dashboard.
Note: You must schedule a date and time in the future. If you'd like to manually change the publish timestamp to a time in the past, follow the steps above.
From your community dashboard, navigate to Content on the left-hand side menu. Select the content piece (video in example below) that you’d like to schedule.
Select the drop-down arrow in the green Publish button in the upper right hand side.
Select the date and time you'd like the content piece to publish, and select 'Ok' to save your work.
If you need to make edits or cancel the scheduled publish you can take action from this page as well (see below).
