Members can receive email notifications for activity on their Forum posts, mentions, new activity from Forum content they follow or watch, unread messages, upcoming events they are registered for, and announcements about new events and content from clubs they belong to.

Members can change their email notification preferences at any time. Emails are sent to the address associated with their account.

Members can change their settings at any time by navigating to their avatar and selecting Notification Settings.

They can select if, and when they receive batch email notifications when they receive new messages.

They will only receive an email if they have unread message(s) in the platform.

Members can choose whether they receive batch email notifications when someone tags them, comments on their Forum post, or replies to their Forum comment. These messages batch activity and are sent every three hours.

Members can also use Forum Digest to control a consolidated email with new activity from people and community boards they follow, forum boards in clubs they belong to, and posts they watch.

Forum Digest emails are sent weekly on Mondays at 5:00 PM, based on the time zone configured by the community. Turning Forum Digest off stops this email but does not unfollow any people, boards, or posts.

Forum Digest is turned off by default for new members. Existing members retain their previous email preference.

Members can also select Unsubscribe in the Forum Digest email footer to turn off the digest for that community. They can subscribe again from the confirmation page without signing in.

Forum Digest controls the digest email only. Turning it off does not stop separate Forum notifications for comments, replies, mentions, accepted answers, approvals, or other Forum activity.

Forum Digest is separate from promotional email preferences. Turning Promotional Emails on or off does not change the Forum Digest setting, and marketing email consent selected during sign-up does not control Forum Digest.

Forum notifications can also be viewed from the notification center in the community.

They can also select if they'd like to receive email notifications for events like reminders and post-event survey emails.

Members can choose whether they receive announcement emails about new events and content published in clubs they belong to.

In the Clubs section of Notification Settings, use Club announcements to turn these emails on or off. Club announcement emails are turned on by default.

Turning Club announcements off stops announcement emails from all clubs the member currently belongs to and any clubs they join in the future.

This preference controls email announcements only. In-site club announcements will still appear in the Notification Center.

If a member leaves a club and later rejoins, their existing Club announcements preference remains in place.
