Clubs: Club Detail Page Customization: Layout and Page Design

This page in the dashboard allows you to customize the club detail pages, or the chapter and interest group page and the features visible within.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

The club detail page is the landing page for the club itself. There are two places within the dashboard where admins can take action to customize and change the page design and layout of the club detail pages: at the top level in the Club Layouts tab, and within the club itself, on the General Info page.

Top Level Settings and Customization

Customization at this level is handled in the dashboard, in the Clubs β†’ Club Layouts tab, in the Club Detail Page tab

Here you can customize & change the default platform-wide design of these club detail pages

Change:

  • Which default features appear within the individual club pages

    • Opt to have Events appear or not, etc.

  • The order in which those features appear on the club pages

  • The in-club menu visibility, order, and features that are listed in that menu atop the club pages

If you have allowed your clubs to make feature changes in the Club Settings tab, know that changes set on this dashboard page are just the default. Learn more about how clubs can manage those features' visibility below.

In-club Menu

You can provide members with an in-club menu to organize and display the assets and features available within each club.

Toggle this menu on or off in the dashboard and configure the setup to your preferences.

Drag and drop the menu items to the order you like, and hide any assets you don't want to appear in the menu from the Setup button.

Note: Hiding a menu item from this in-club menu does not mean the asset won't appear on the clubs' pages, it simply means it will hide that menu item from the top menu bar.

Features

The optional assets or features to include on the club detail page (either chapter or interest group) are:

  • Events

  • Content

  • Members

  • Local Leaders

  • Albums

  • Custom Modules (x2)

If you want to disable or block a feature or multiple features from being added and visible at the club level, you can make those changes from the Club Settings tab.

Visibility of Features

Toggle the visibility on or off within the asset's block. A confirmation pop up will appear to confirm the change as it affects all clubs.

Note: Hiding a feature from this page means the feature will not appear on club pages by default.

If you have allowed clubs to make changes to the visibility of club features on the Club Settings tab, the customizations made here are only defaulted and do not block admins from making changes at the club level. See details below.

Titles

Change what the features are titled by selecting the edit icon beside the text.

Order

Drag and drop the asset blocks to reflect the order you'd like them to be listed on the clubs' pages.

Custom Modules

Add a custom module block that will link to another page within your community or an external website.

πŸ’‘Pro Tip: This is a great feature to link to a Forum Board, a Channel discussion, or other parts of the community!

Community Info Card

This graphic card provides an overview of your community on the Club homepage. You can opt to have this shown (by turning on visibility) or hide it on that page (by turning off visibility) in Club Settings.

By following these steps, customize and change this info card in your community Settings tab.

Bulletin Boards

Add calls to action or informative bulletin boards to the chapter pages that link to a URL.

  1. Select + New Bulletin Board button on right hand side

  2. List a title for your bulletin board (required), a description (optional), a button name (required), and the ULR link (required).

At any time you can edit or change these bullet boards, re-order them, or toggle their visibility off and on from the Club Detail Page. You can add up to two bulletin boards

Individual Club Level Settings and Customization

You can now control which features are shown at the individual club level and not have it be a standard, across-the-board limitation. Because every club or group is different, some may want to show their members list, while others would keep this hidden.

For this to be available, dashboard admins must toggle on the Club Feature Controls setting in Club Settings.

Once this setting is turned on, the General Info page in each club dashboard will display an In-Club Features set:

If the box is selected beside a feature, that feature and the pieces within will be visible in that club. If the box is left unselected, that feature and the pieces within will be hidden in that club.

This setting will only appear for dashboard admins (added in Permissions) and club collaborators added at the admins level so club managers and club editors cannot make this change.
